One of the first decisions a new business owner faces is choosing a form of ownership best for their business needs. As the business grows over time, the owner will need to determine whether the current form of ownership still fits the business needs. This course covers the most common legal structures available for the business owner. This will discuss when is the best time to decide the entity type of a company.
At the end of this course, the student will be able to do the following:
- Explain who is a sole proprietor.
- Recall the different partnership types.
- Recognize the basic requirements of a C Corporation.
- Identify when an S-Corporation benefits the taxpayer.
